Salmonella, schmalmonella!

Isaiah, completely unphased by the recent peanut butter recalls, showed no hesitation when he snuck into the pantry and helped himself to the entire jar. Okay, so he didn't eat the whole jar. It was half-empty to begin with. And I found myself scrubbing peanut butter off the couch. And the carpet. And window sill. And train table. But he still indulged quite a bit, I'm sure.

I think I need to store the peanut butter up on a higher shelf, seeing as how this isn't the first time it's happened.

You know when Egg was a little younger we used to make him peanut butter pasta, everyone would say "Yuck" but he ate it, which is a big deal. I took it from a noodle (we used to use noodles but they were to much work for him) sauce recipe which included oils and soy, but once when we had ran out of stuff I just cooked some pasta and mixed in a spoon of peanut butter until melted. Also peanut butter cups, home made *goes to find book* ok recipe says it makes 48 squares, but I always made them in tiny cases.

Mix 50G DARK MUCOVADO SUGAR, 200G ICING SUGAR, 50G BUTTER, 200G PEANUT BUTTER. Either flatten this in a tin or like me roll into balls and push into cases. Top this with melted chocolate (recipe says 200g milk and 100g dark and 1 tablespoon butter, but I only ever used milk choc, no butter).

*rainbowmummy getting your kids high on sugar* :0)

Yeah, it's like expensive (I think?!?!) brown sugar, I recon the first time I made it I would have followed the recipe, the other times I am guessing I just used brown sugar!
