Care for some sushi?

Deliciously disguised as an adorable sushi roll, this handmade cloth wipe looks yummy enough to eat! The terry cloth's texture gives an excellent appearance of rice, while felt scrap veggies and a fleece seaweed wrapper complete the look.

The cloth wipe sushi roll comes packaged in a small chinese take-out box, making it ideal for any gift-giving occasion, or even as party decoration and/or favors. Perfect for baby showers!

The cloth wipe is 100% cotton, topped with bright green flannel, and backed with looped terry cloth. It measures 5 x 8 inches, and fits in a standard wipe box. Plenty big enough for even the yuckiest of messes- while keeping your hands clean!

Using cloth wipes is both economical and eco-friendly. Reduce waste, and stop throwing away expensive disposable wipes and other paper products. From facial cloths to wiping baby's bum, from scrubbing in the bathtub to household cleaning, these washcloths are truly multi-purpose and can do it all!

You can find cloth wipe sushi rolls in my Etsy shop for just $4.25 each! While you're there, don't forget to check out my other cloth wipes and washcloths. Custom orders and wholesale inquiries are always welcomed.

How about a little giveaway??

In my last post, I shared with you some of the gorgeous items I bought off of Etsy this holiday season. Here is another...

This adorable rattle from locoMOmomma is crocheted organic cotton with a blue/brown colorway. It measures about 3.5" long, making it very easy for even the littlest hands to hold. Oliver loves gnawing on his, and has a death grip on it most of the time, refusing to let go. :)

He loves it so much, I bought a second one and decided to host a giveaway. The winner will receive a brand new (i.e. not covered in Ollie slobber) organic baby rattle, identical to the one shown above. To enter, just leave a comment on this post with a link to your favorite handmade baby product on Etsy as well as your email address. I will randomly chose a winner (via a random number generator) on Saturday, January 10th. No strings attached, I'll cover shipping. *wink*

A few reasons why I *heart* Etsy...

I wanted most of the gifts opened on Christmas morning to be handmade, either by me or by someone else, and shopping on Etsy made it so easy! Having mostly handmade gifts under the tree made the already-enchanting holiday seem even more magical and special. (It also meant less battery-sucking, horribly annoying and noisy, possibly toxic, plastic ones!) Here are a few of our favorites...

* Fairy Silkies in Earthy Colours from BeneathTheRowanTree - These tiny playsilks are just awesome. Yesterday, while playing with blocks and the Silkies, Abbie made a whole camping scene, complete with tents and even a waterfall. Isaiah seems to love rubbing these against his face, and as well as using them to give his baby a bath.

* Baby Pixie waldorf doll from MerrydaleDolls - Even though the description says for a year and older, I think it makes the perfect first dolly for Oliver. It's SO soft and cuddly! I also bought Abbie and Isaiah each a smaller waldorf dolly, as I just couldn't resist. It was hard deciding, but ended up going with Violet and Nutkin.

* A mini felted wool chain from Babus - I only ordered a mini one as I wasn't sure how durable it would be, but I absolutely love it! It's very well-made, and I plan to buy the larger size very soon as Oliver loves chewing and tugging on it.

I have a few more special things to share, but they'll have to wait for another post. I also have a giveaway coming up, so look for that very soon!

Baby Ladybugs!

I know I still owe you guys holiday pictures, but wanted to share the treasury I just made on Etsy, since it'll go poof in a couple days.

You can see the real thing here:

If you are unfamiliar with treasuries, they are a spiffy feature on Etsy where you can create a page of 12 of your favorite items. Unfortunately, they can be tricky to snag a spot, but they are so much fun to make!

200 sales!!!

I just reached my goal of 200 sales!

A big thank you to all my customers. I know it sounds cheesy, but I take such pride and joy everytime I make something, as well as when I think about little ones around the world using my products. (Yes, around the world- I've had orders from Austrailia, Japan, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Canada and the UK!).

And a special thank you to my family and friends (including my "imaginary" ones, you know who you are) for all the advice and feedback you've given me, as well as listening to me ramble on about my little business. *muah*

You better not eat my soap!

Isaiah ate my chapstick this weekend. (This isn't the first time it's happened, either). I was browsing Etsy anyways, so decided to see if I could find any on there. One of the first shops that popped up was PudledukSoapCo.

I had ordered some Pumpkin Spice soap from them last fall, after searching and searching for the perfect one. And boy, did I pick the right one! The smell was absolutely heavenly, and it lathered up so much better than any store-bought bar soap. It lasted a surprisingly long time as well!

I loved Pudleduk soap so much, that I ordered their sampler pack and gave them out as gift for the holidays last year, along with some washcloths I made. (I'm thinking about ordering some as thank you gifts for my Etsy orders, since what family with kids couldn't use soap!).

Anyways, as luck would have it, they are having a Free Shipping Special. So not only did I buy the wintergreen lip balm I was originally shopping for, but I bought some more Pumpkin Spice soap, as well as a bar of Lemon Verbena for the kitchen. The special runs through today, so definitely check out them out! (If you don't get the chance today, don't worry- they have really reasonable shipping rates, regardless!)

Pictures taken from PudledukSoapCo's Etsy shop... don't they look just good enough to eat? (Hey, don't get any ideas now, Isaiah!)

Etsykids Fabric Swap!

I'm a bit behind in my blogging... but I've been meaning to post this. A few weeks ago, I participated in the Etsykids Fabric Swap, and it was SO much fun!
First of all, for those not familiar with Etsy street teams, they are "... smaller groups of organized Etsy members who network, share skills, and promote their shops and Etsy together. A Team forms around a shared location, crafting medium, or another interest." (http://team.etsy.com/). And Etsykids are all about- you guessed it -KIDS! The members of Etsykids all craft and create for children of all ages. For more info, check out http://www.etsykids.com/.
The theme of our first fabric swap was "Bright Colors". Here are the fat quarters I received...

* The cheerful yellow is from Tiny Stitches. * The floral print is from SJCreations. * The funky dots on green is from KeikiBoutique. * And the fun butterfly print is from Seaside Quilts, who headed up this swap, so a special thank you to her!

Thanks again everybody... and I am already looking foward to the next one!
