In a fog...

I know I haven't posted in over a month. The Bad Situation I have vaguely referred to in previous posts have spiraled out of control. We're currently living at my mom's house, camping out in her living room. So much has gone on, and so much is still happening. I feel like we're stuck in a fog right now, because I can't see any way out. Everyone tells me it'll be okay, and I know it will, but just hard to focus on that promised better future, or anything else for that matter, right now. :-/

Wordless Wednesday - Yes, more snow pictures

Sorry for 1) my blog being almost entirely "wordless" lately. Still so much going on that I can't really talk about here at the moment. And 2) all the snow pictures, but that seems to be the recurring theme around here these past few weeks. ^.^

Wordless Wednesday - You know it's cold when...

Crabtree Falls (tallest waterfall east of the Miss. River), which normally looks like this:

turns into an ice sculpture, frozen all the way down the mountain

Wordless Wednesday - SnOMG 2009

A few weeks ago, the east coast was hit with a massive snow storm. In less than 24 hours, we went from light flurries to a landscape of indistinguishable white lumps.

We cut paths for the Sprouts to go out and explore. (Isaiah was apprehensive and stayed attached to my leg the whole time)

And the real aftermath of the snowstorm...

Wordless Wednesday - First snow day!

(Wish I had got more photos, but it was still coming down pretty hard and didn't want camera to get wet. Hopefully there will be many more snow days this winter!)

Wordless Wednesday - Isaiah and his Bebe

We bought Isaiah a Baby Bottom Doll ("Bebe" as he calls it) for his first birthday, and I'm SO glad we did.

Wordless Wednesday - New Breadmaker

Well, new to me... it was handed-down by a dear friend. It's my very first one, and I'm already in love.

Mmmm, freshly made bread

Wordless Wednesday - Nighty Night!

This is what I get to look forward to at the end of each day... and the best part is that I get to join them. Co-sleeping/family bed might not be for everybody, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. <3

Wordless Wednesday - I swear, he's like a cat...

Because you walk away for just a moment, and come back to him sitting right where you were working.

Part Monkey, Part Cat, All Oliver

Then again, he also must be part monkey for climbing all the way up there. o.O

Wordless Wednesday - I suck...

Once again, my poor blog has been neglected. I have SO many things I want to blog about, but just been feeling a bit overwhelmed at everything going on.

So, I suck. But, do you know what rocks? Ollie's mohawk.

(It does that completely on it's own. After he gets out of the tub, all I have to do is comb it straight back, and it goes POOF into a mohawk. It's like the cutest magic trick ever.)

Wordless Wednesday - Our Special Bond

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you've already seen this picture as I've been using it to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week. Which has last week. Yes, I've been a sucky (no pun intended) blogger lately, I know. Just a lot going on. But please allow me to share it with you, regardless. I've been breastfeeding 3.5 years out of the last 4, with only a six month break between tandem nursing Abbie and Isaiah, and the birth of Oliver. So, yeah, it means a lot to me. <3

BTW, Ollie is now 13mo, and as you can see above, of course he's still breastfeeding.

Wordless Wednesday - Zoom Zoom

This past weekend, we visited a local rural airport, as they hosted the annual Shenandoah Valley Ultralight and Light Sport Flight Festival. It was so awesome being able to get so close to the planes, watching them take-off and land.

(This plane was actually taxiing down along the runaway, gearing up to take off again.)
