Wordless Wednesday - Meeting Santa

We visited Santa yesterday, which went a lot smoother than last year's ordeal. We went to a smaller mall, so no traffic, waited in line for maybe 5 minutes, and they even let us use our own camera!

Isaiah refused to sit on his lap, but did stand next to him out of sheer curiosity. Abbie walked right up to him, slowly reached out to touch his gloved hand, let out a little squeal, and climbed right on his lap. Oliver was just confused.

Priceless...

A 40+ mile drive to the nearest mall: Way too much in gas A 20 minute battle with mall traffic: A huge headache The smallest photo package (2 4x6s) costing 15 freaking dollars: A strain on an overstressed budget Getting the perfect photo of your beautiful family, and realizing just how blessed you truly are: PRICELESS Abbie was SO excited to go see Santa. However, when the big moment came, she turned into a barnacle and would not go to him. Thomas and I were not planning on being in the photo, but it was the only way we could get her to go near him. (Afterwards, we told her it's okay to be afraid of strangers, just so she'd know we weren't mad, and that we weren't FORCING her to sit on a strange man's lap.). But, actually, it turned out great, and I absolutely love it!
