Occupational hazard of being a big sister...

Ignore the counting bears all over the floor. The kids like to scatter them randomly throughout the house. Apparently it's funny to watch mommy step on them and almost break her neck 10x a day.

My first dandelion bouquet...

You can keep your long-stemmed roses... I just received my first dandelion bouquet. It was delivered by a chubby, grubby hand, complete with a personalized message ("Here mommy. These flowers for you."). They got a little squished- Abbie insisted that I carry them in my pocket (so I wouldn't "lose dem"). As if it weren't obvious, LOL, I love dandelions. One of my favorite flowers, because Nature gives them to us so freely. I just don't understand why or how people are willing to spend tons of money to dump chemicals all over their lawns just to get rid of dandelions. What is more cheerful than little orbs of sunshine dotting your yard? A simple reminder of the simple pleasures.

Uni-brow Girl and Bucket Boy

So, I'm sitting here at the computer and Abbie comes in looking like this:

For some unknown reason, she decided to take a piece of char from the fireplace and draw herself an unibrow. That was this morning... and she's still sporting it, refusing to wash her face. Whatever floats her boat!

And this afternoon, Isaiah was pointing to the fridge, so I told him to go find his cup. He comes back carrying a HUGE bucket. He must have been one thristy little boy!

One would assume sitting at home all day with two little kids would be boring. Not. At. All!
