You know your little one is sick when...

...he actually gets excited when he sees you coming with the nasal aspirator (aka "the blue snot sucker thingy"). Isaiah has a cold and is SO congested- his little nose is like a faucet. I've been giving him these homeopathic cold drops, as well as eucalyptus baths (couple drops of eucalyptus essential oil under hot running water) before bed. Both seem to help some... although neither stop him from rubbing his cold, slimey nose on my neck in the middle of the night. Haven't found a remedy for that one yet. Fortunately, the rest of the family seems to have been spared. But, hopefully Boo will feel better in the next couple days.

Aaahh, I feel for you, a stuffy baby sliming on you is lovely......I use a Nosefrida aspirator instead on my son, it's natural and doesn't hurt their nose, you should give it a try.

Hey I found your blog from etsykids...You should try "little noses" it is just salt water in a nose spray bottle...dries the snot right up!!!! If my girls start sniffling I start spraying and it works so well they actually ask for it now. You can get it at any drug store and there may even be other brands, you just want plain ole' saline solution. Less than $2 a bottle. Stand the kiddo in front of you facing out...grab under the chin and brace against your body to get a good grip then spray once up each side...hold 'em tight cause after that first blast they will squirm and you'll miss the second nostril!!! Hope it helps!!!
